04/21/05 – ******IMPORTANT******IMPORTANT******IMPORTANT*****

If your league selects an All-Star team, the All-Star team shall NOT tryout, select, announce, practice, and/or play together before May 1st.

This rule went into effect on the 2005 season. It replaces the old rule of … you could not select or announce a team prior to the Monday following the first full weekend in May. Which would have been May 9th for the 2005 season.  For further reference, please refer to the Pacific Coast Region 2005 Junior Olympic Handbook.   Page 18 for the "B" Program and page 20 for the "C" Program.

2004 News

Welcome to the CCASA GFP – B & C Web Site.  I hope you will find it useful and informative.  For those who are regular visitors of the CCASA main web site, I am sure you have found the new format to be more appealing and user friendly.  The intent of this site is to keep you informed with the specifics of ASA Girls Fast Pitch B & C Travel Ball in the Central California Amateur Softball Association.  The site looks alot like the “A” site by design; I liked the way Dave set his up.

The Home page will have news, changes, questions or concerns that will be posted on an on-going basis.  The Teams section will have a current list of registered B & C travel teams with contact information.  The Guidelines section will provide you with information to help understand the guidelines and rules set forth by Central California ASA as well as ASA.  The Results section will provide you with last years National Tournament results as well as on-going results for 2004 sanctioned tournaments within CCASA.  I will post the top five places of each tournament.  I need for each tournament director, to email me the top five place finishes on Sunday evening so I can post them for that week.  The Events section will include ongoing and up coming tournament events.  And hopefully the FAQ section will answer a few questions you may have.

The CCASA Annual Meeting will be held January 17th & 18th in Visalia, please click here for the agenda.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Ron Petersen
